cheek; lovely painted Flemish style strapwork exterior decoration with papered
and painted interior; all decoration by Sheridan Germann. Can be used
as a stand alone harpsichord. Detail

Op 51; Copy of 1480 clavicytherium in the Royal College of Music, London;
completed by Adlam Burnett under Derek Adlam’s direction. Pythagorean
tuning; E to g'' (B and f# keys missing), 40 notes; 25" wide x 8"
deep by 57"high. Beautiful
decoration in South German medieval style with finely carved parchment
and wood tracery along the front edge of the soundboard, spine liner and belly
rail and three rose holes cut into the soundboard, two in the shape of ogee
windows, the third circular; the rear wall of the instrument decorated
with a painted blue ground and gilded stars. This rare offering includes padded
